This is so kind of you, dear friend. Thanks for being one of the good ones. And come back to visit again the moment you’re able.

Thank you, excited to read your publication! The intentionality to write something with depth like this is refreshing. My family just finished reading The Princess and the Goblin and are beginning The Princess and Curdie. I'm very new to these stories and MacDonald's writings. They're very healing. I'm resonating with all of this.

So happy this is happening. So entirely in tune with your reasons for writing here (many of which are also mine). Cheering you on.

Paul! I just got done writing about time with you in the wild last year and mmm reading this right now feels right. Here’s to you letting your voice be heard. I agree—speaking softly and showing others what is good and beautiful and true doesn’t flood the river; it in some small way purifies it. Thanks for showing up as you.

Paul! Well, after a decade of discernment, I'd say you made a great choice. So glad to see you on here.

I'm right there with you and Leonard Cohen: "The blizzard of the world has crossed the threshold, and it’s overturned the order of the soul."

Hi Paul, I’ve stumbled upon you thanks to the accurate algorithm of substack and probably divine coincidence. I’m grateful—grateful to find such a mature, ordered voice, and grateful I get to sit under it and take notes. Thank you.

The Princess and Curdie is one of my dearest-held stories. I appreciated hearing your framing of it in the included video!

Oh Paul... Thank you for discerning the voice that led you here. There is no noise in between the lines of what you write, but only a quiet, kind of peaceful invitation, an addition that offers an antidote so very much needed today. Happy, happy happy you are here.

Reading this makes me happy in a way i don't ordinarily get happy. I guess one way to tell you is for me to subscribe. (I will.) I have been busy unsubscribing from writing that offers formulas for life challenges and easy answers, talking in circles around the hard things. I follow few people anymore. i have met you at the writing retreat in Oregon and have appreciated your input into my writing. I am making progress on my memoir - writing mostly in a conversational letter to my grands.

Hi Paul, this really made my heart both ache (with the truth of it) and sing (with the joy of it). It is very timely for me to join you here as I've just this week pulled back from social media. I thought I could make a difference in my little corner but mostly as you say I just felt anything deep or soulful was trampled on. I'm starting to write and share a few bits of art here too.

At first I thought the rose fire was a reference to 'the fire and the rose are one' which has been much on my heart recently, but I love MacDonald too. Making story about truth and beauty, soul and humour is key for me. Thanks for adding me.

Very happy you are starting this up! I recently left twitter and your posts were some of the few brights spots left there, so I am happy you will be sharing some of your wisdom and beauty here.
